Workstudy Basic Guidelines
Students that accepted work-study funds
and are currently hired abide to the following conditions:
1.
A work-study award does not guarantee
employment.
2.
Must obtain employment within 30 days
of the start of the semester in order to keep work-study award. Otherwise,
it will be removed for the academic year.
3.
Will not work until the hiring process
has been completed.
4.
Must maintain at least half-time enrollment
(6 cr. undergrad/ 5 cr. grad) to keep work-study
award.
5.
Must maintain a minimum cumulative grade
average of 2.0 (undergrad) or 3.0 (grad) to keep work-study award.
6.
Can work a maximum of 20 hours per week
as a student employee.
7.
Must notify the Financial Office of
any additional scholarships or other awards received from outside sources.
8.
May only have one type of work-study
award each academic year (Fall, Spring, Summer I,
Summer II).
9.
Must maintain accurate records of hours
worked and submit a time sheet every 2 weeks.
10.
Must monitor personal earnings so they do not
exceed work-study award.
