Scholarships

Scholarships for New and Incoming Students

At NMSU, you can qualify for two different types of scholarships. There are the scholarships listed below which are automatically awarded based on your admissions application. Some scholarships use an Academic Index score to determine your eligibility. Find your Academic Index using the calculator below and view our current scholarships.

Additionally, you can apply for all other NMSU scholarships with a single application using Scholar Dollar$.

Any GPA will not be rounded up but acknowledged as the exact number documented in academic records.

Scholarships for Continuing Students

For students who have been attending NMSU from 2017 and previous years, you may review scholarship renewal requirements on the Continuing Students Scholarship Renewal page.

Academic Index

Your Academic Index Score is calculated using your High School GPA and ACT Score, and is used to determine your eligibility for some scholarships below.

(ACT x 2.778) + (GPA x 25) = Academic Index Score
