NM Lottery Success Scholarship
New Entering Freshmen (enrolling directly out of high school)
Award: Tuition ONLY, varying amounts. Stated semester rates at NMSU include both tuition and required fees. The New Mexico Lottery Scholarship award covers tuition only (excluding any required fees).
Requirements: For new entering freshmen who graduated from a New Mexico high school (or obtained a New Mexico GED) in May 1996 or thereafter. Student must enroll full-time at an eligible New Mexico public college or university, in the first regular semester immediately following high school graduation. To establish eligibility, a student must have a minimum 2.5 first semester GPA and 12 new graded credit hours earned at the end of their first college semester. If eligibility is established, the student will automatically begin receiving the scholarship beginning the second semester. No application is necessary.
Renewable: The scholarship is renewable based on a 2.5 cumulative GPA and completion of 12 new graded credits each semester. Scholarship awards are for a maximum of four semesters at a 2-year level (or attainment of an Associates Degree, whichever occurs first) or a maximum of eight semesters at a 4-year school (or attainment of a Bachelor Degree, whichever occurs first).
